Donald Dean Nelson, 87, of Guttenberg passed away, April 3, 2025, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Iowa Cremation is assisting with arrangements.
Donald Dean Nelson was born on July 28, 1937, in Lamont, Iowa, the son of Theodore Peter and Hazel May (Wenger) Nelson. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957-1960. Donald married Carma Loma Shuman on December 26, 1964, in Marion, Iowa. Donald worked for Churchill Trucking and retired in 1994 after 16 years of employment. He was a member of Teamster Local 238. Donald enjoyed wood crafts and motorcycling.
There are no immediate survivors.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Carma in 2020; and a brother Richard Nelson.
