Carol Ann Allison

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Allison, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on April 30, 2025, at The Deery Suites. Carol was born on December 31, 1949, in Waterloo, Iowa, to her loving parents, Claude and Mildred (Clark) Black.

Carol led a life filled with love and devotion, sharing her warmth and kindness with everyone fortunate enough to know her. After completing her education with an associate’s degree, she went on to have a successful career in the manufacturing industry as a mechanical and quality assurance engineer.

She is preceded in death by her adoring husband, Charles Allison, and her parents. Carol's legacy continues through her surviving family, including her cherished son, Eric (Marcia Lenoff) Julson, her stepson, Dave (Mary) Allison, her former daughter-in-law, Amanda Lloyd, and her beloved grandsons, Evan and Shane Julson, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Additionally, Carol is survived by her devoted sister, Barb (Scott) Wienands, and her brother, Steve (Kim) Black. She was proud of her extended family, including her nieces: Amy (Steve) Wienands-Schneider, Melissa (Chris) Guinto, Stephanie (Josh) Paxton, and Nicole Kime, as well as her nephew, James Black. Each of them held a special place in her heart.

Carol also loved animals and gave forever homes to several furry friends as well as provided love and companionship to many family pets. She also believed strongly in giving back to her community and was proud to serve on the board of directors for the Heart of Iowa Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

As we mourn the loss of Carol, we also celebrate the beautiful memories she created and the profound impact she had on all our lives. Her laughter, her gentle wisdom, and her unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider donating to a charity of your choice in Carol's memory, honoring her legacy of kindness and compassion.

Carol Ann Allison, 75, will be remembered not just for her years but for the countless lives she touched with her generosity and love. Her spirit will live on in each of us, guiding us to cherish family and celebrate the joy of togetherness.
