Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, JB and Lora Williams and her brother Ward and sister Aetha Short.
She was united in marriage to Thomas E. Skinner on December 30, 1968. Thomas preceded Nellie in death on January 10, 2019.
Nellie was survived by 3 daughters, Leslie Erxleben of Keokuk, Lora Stevens of Keokuk, and Lisa (Justin) Ward of Van Horne, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Emmy (15) and Libby (13) Ward, Drew (11) and Cora (8) Stevens; 5 siblings, James, Marvin, Keith, Luke and sister Leetha Smith.
