Myrna Randall

Myrna Randall, 81, former resident of Center Point, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, at the Hiawatha Care Center after a courageous battle with lymphoma. 

Myrna was born January 4, 1943, in Algona IA to George and Rosalia (Kellner) Ama. She was a graduate of Elkton High School. She met Lew Randall while working at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.  They married on June 30, 1962, and later divorced.  She worked for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids for many years and retired from Motorola in 2006.

Myrna is survived by her brother, Gerald Ama of Fort Myers, FL and her three children David (Nancy) Randall of Chippewa Falls, WI; Tami (Mark) Roseberry of Center Point, IA; and Teri (Todd) Mishak of Oxford, IA. She had 9 grandchildren: Alexandra (Lee Biddle) Randall, Megan (Mike) Lesinksi, Jon (Kelly) Roseberry, Andy Roseberry, Brandon Roseberry, Molly Roseberry, Simone (Kevin Woestman) Hall, Tre Hall and Angelina Mishak. She also had 7 great grandchildren, and one more on the way.  

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rosalia Ama, brothers Edwin and Kenneth Ama, former husband Lew Randall and long-time companions Jim Redmann and Jim Gerleman.

Celebration of Life will be held October 26, 2024, from 11:30-4 in the lower level of the First Christian Church on State/Franklin Streets in Center Point, IA.  Casual attire is expected. 

Myrna’s family would like to thank the outstanding staff at both Unity Point Hospice and The Hiawatha Care Center who provided her with compassionate and loving care.
