Larry “CL” Donald Heath
Larry Donald “CL” Heath, 73, of Clarence, Iowa formerly of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, passed away on September 21, 2024. A Celebration of Life will take place October 6th, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Whitetails Saloon in Clarence, Iowa. Iowa Cremation, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 17, 1951, in Moline, Illinois, he was a son to the late Harold and late Lillie Heath. CL proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, embracing the rigor and camaraderie that defined the Marines. After his military service, he had a fulfilling career contributing his skills to both the Rock Island Arsenal and Olsen Engineering.
A true outdoorsman, CL cherished his time fishing and hunting, activities that brought him peace and joy. He was also proficient in pool and darts, often found sharing laughs and friendly competition with friends. His love for sports extended to being an avid fan of the Cubs and Bears, moments spent cheering on his teams were always special.
He is survived by his son, Samuel Heath (Carrie), of Peyton, Colorado, son, Seth Bevans (Angela), of Jamestown, Kentucky. A sister, Dixie Pietrangelo (Jim), of Rock Island, Illinois, brothers; Ron Heath of Taylor Ridge, Tom Heath (Fern) of Andalusia, Illinois, and Rod Heath, of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, along with nine grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Maury Chambers.
CL graduated from Rockridge High School, where he began forming lifelong friendships and laying the foundation for his future. CL’s warmth, courage, and resilience will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
