Elaine Burk
Elaine Burk was born near Goodland, KS on September 6, 1926 and died on September 23, 2024. She was the second child and only daughter of the six children of Bryan and Jessie Beaderstadt.
Elaine graduated from Searsboro High School in 1944 and married Donald Richard Burk in 1946. They celebrated 76 years of marriage prior to his death in 2022. Elaine is survived by their three daughters, Rondi Kinney (Mike), Renee Bridenstine and Rise Reynolds (Brad), eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, brother Kenneth Beaderstadt and many nieces and nephews. Elaine loved her family and cherished visits from family and friends.
She enjoyed playing card games, particularly bridge, and dominoes. Elaine lived life to its fullest and the past two years patiently waited to be reunited with the love of her life. Elaine leaves behind a legacy of love.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Union Park United Methodist Church, 2305 E 12th St, Des Moines, IA on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10:30 AM followed by a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Union Park UMC or your preferred charity.
