Grant Larry Mork

Grant Larry Mork, 71, of Postville IA, passed away in his home, surrounded by his three daughters, on October 27th, 2024. 

Grant was born on April 6th, 1953, to Eugene and Lola (Ewing) Mork in Postville, IA.  He enjoyed playing many sports throughout his childhood, into high school and through his young adult life. After high school, Grant went to lineman school, where he worked as a lineman for several years before going into farming and then on to construction. Grant married his high school sweetheart, Vicki Hill, and they had three daughters together. 

Throughout his life, Grant was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking drives in his Corvette. He valued spending time with his family and his many lifelong friends. Grant was a generous and kind man with a great sense of humor, he will be missed dearly by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lola Mork, and his brother, Randy Mork. Grant is survived by his children, Lacey Ward, Stephanie and Richard Song, and Ashley and Christopher Liem; his grandchildren, Kohl and Kenadee Schnuelle, Evly, LulaBelle and Silas Liem, and Selah and Zephaniah Song; and his great grandchildren, Crue Fenske and Oliver and Elliott Schaller.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. If you’d like to send a memorial in Grant’s honor, you can send it directly to the Postville Fire Department or the Postville Ambulance.
