David A. Meyer 62, of Charles City Iowa passed away on October 19, 2024 in Iowa City Hospital.

David Alan Meyer the Son of Emmett and Betty (Nicholson) Meyer was born on March 28, 1963, in Charles City. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1982 and continued his education to get his Welding certificate. David married Donna and later had David Jr. in 1983. David and Donna later divorced.
In 1997 David met Karla Hirsch and later married in July of 2001 in Charles City. David and Karla later divorced in 2012. David worked for Winnebago as a welder for a little over 9 years where he went on to work at Unverferth for over 20 years. David enjoyed working on cars and was in his life had a few muscle cars he worked on.
David is survived by his two children, Tiffany Harthan (John Harthan), and Brent Meyer (Rebecca Boyd); grandchild Jack Harthan. He was survived by his brother-in Law Larry Schuchhardt; Niece and Nephew Heather Dietrich (Mark Dietrich) and Adam Schuchhardt and many great niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Betty Meyer, Sister Sarah Schuchhardt, and son, David, Jr.
