Karen Sue Wilson, 68, of Redfield, died on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in her home just as she dreamed of after suffering from a long battle with pulmonary diseases. A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. on December 7, 2024, at the IOOF Odd Fellows Lodge at 121 N Gaines Street, Stuart, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dwayne; her two children, daughter Jannette (Troy) Thomas-Kuhn of Stuart and son Steven (Nicole) Wilson of Redfield; four grandchildren, Gavin (Bridgett) Wetrich of Adair, Ryan Drake of Des Moines, Faith Thomas and Jaxyn Kuhn of Stuart; five great grandchildren, Merci, Reid, Alice Jannette, Evelynn and Eli; siblings, brother Fred (Pam) Pruitt of Redfield; sister Patty (Jerry) Stockman of Des Moines, brother Don (Cora) Pruitt of Earlham, sister Glenda Pruitt of Dexter, brother Terry (Dawn) Pruitt of Stuart and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Bobbie and Vera (Grabill) Pruitt and son-in-law Steven (Jannette) Thomas.
Karen lived a simple life only asking to see her family, as often as she could. She cherished every moment she had with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved making handmade blankets for everyone in the family. Collecting wind chimes, going camping and playing cards. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
