Marilyn Jo Magnuson
Marilyn Jo Magnuson, 75, of Evansdale, Iowa passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Unity Point- Allen Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life is taking place at the Waterloo Local 838 UAW Hall, on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 4-8pm. With prayers and sharing starting at 6pm.
Marilyn was born January 8, 1949, to Richard and Dorothy (Downing) Letsch in Ames, Iowa. She married John William Magnuson on January 14, 1967, in Waterloo, Iowa. Together they had five children.
Marilyn retired from Mercy One Waterloo. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed being with family and somehow was able to attend all the events for her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed having her Sunday kitchen filled with family. She loved family fishing vacations, family events, music, and cutting a rug with her beloved husband. She also enjoyed tending to all her beautiful flowers.
Marilyn is survived by three sons, John (Marlene), David (Brandy), Matthew (Shanzy); siblings, Tom (Mary) Letsch, David (Cynthia) Letsch, Doug (Carla) Letsch, John Letsch, and Lori (Gary) Adams; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by, her parents, her husband, their youngest children Angela and Aaron, great-grandsons Cash and Alex, and many other loved ones.
