Linda J. Witbeck-Gibbs, 72, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on August 3, 2024 at the American Legion in Durant, Iowa from 11-2. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Linda was born on November 10, 1951 to Floyd, Sr. and Violetmae (Williams) Patterson in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Terry Gibbs on February 4, 1989 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Linda was retired from Hon and Wal-Mart, then became a homemaker, which included tending to her gardens. She enjoyed playing Rummy, Parcheesi, other board games, a good fire every now and then and her flowers. She loved her dogs and her coffee. Linda’s hobbies were going to the casino, playing Pogo, watching westerns, and spending time with family.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Terry; her 4 girls – Kimberly Steele of Davenport, Crystal (Jeff) Morrow of Marion, Jami Witbeck of Iowa City, and Deanna Reed of Muscatine, stepsons – Warren (Katie) Gibbs and Jeremy Gibbs of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by her brother, Junior (Pat) Patterson of Nichols, her sister Sharon Coleman of Winterset, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Delores Detweiler, and her beloved pets.
