Lawrence (Larry) Foote, 85 of Farnhamville, died on Sunday, June 23, 2024, surrounded by family after a short illness. Larry requested no services be held.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Farnhamville; his children Kim, Jeff, Jodee, Jesse, and Lacey; his siblings Alvin, Memory, and Robin; and his grandchildren, Thomas, William, Amy, Tyler, Hunter, Reese, and Penny. He is predeceased by his siblings Jerry, Merle, and Mary, his son Alvin, and his granddaughter, Ava.
Larry was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Frances (née Hendersen) and Lawrence Foote. He was the first of seven children. He married Kathy (née Merrill) in 1973 and settled in Farnhamville, where they lived in the same home for over 50 years. Larry drove a redi-mix truck and managed redi-mix concrete plants in Gowrie and Jefferson. He had many hobbies including fishing, target shooting, baking, woodworking, and camping. Larry loved spending time in nature, riding his bike around Twin Lakes with his grandkids, and telling tall tales.
