Kendal R. Fuller

Kendal R Fuller, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed from this world into the next on Monday, June 17, 2024.  Kendal has chosen cremation; there will be no services. However, there will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from noon to 5:00 PM at the family home. Light refreshments will be served. Please join and honor them with your remembrances and stories.

Kendal was born January 24, 1947, to Raymond B and H Pauline Fuller in Anna, Illinois. He grew up in Pomona, Illinois, in the middle of Shawnee National Forrest. His grade school years were spent attending Macedonia School, the last one-room schoolhouse in Illinois. Kendal graduated from Alto Pass Community High School, class of 1965. He furthered his education at United Electronics Labs in Louisville, Kentucky. Upon graduation he was hired by Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was soon working on the Apollo program. He also worked on the Black Hawk Helicopter and worked with Litton Cooperation on their aircraft carrier.

He married Clarice K Noel on April 6, 1973. Soon afterward Kendal was hired by Gates Radio,
Quincy, Illinois. In 1987, Kendal returned to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to work for Rockwell/Collins.

His favorite pass times were spending time with his family, camping, fishing, bowling, Cubs baseball, stock car racing, and watching TV. He was a wonderful provider and protector to his family and a loyal friend to many.

Kendal is survived by his wife, Clarice; his children, John (Denise) Fuller, Janet (Nick) Zbornac, Julie (Kevin) McBride; bonus daughter, Amber, and grandchildren, Jacob (Baileigh), Danny, Kyndall (Alex), Emerson and 9 bonus grandchildren and nine bonus great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, James L Fuller, infant grandson Jimmy Lee Purdy, his parents Raymond and Pauline and his father-in-law, Frank C Noel and mother-in-law, Katherine (Kay) Noel and daughter-in-law, Theresa Fuller.

Any memorial gifts may be given directly to the family.
