Judy Margaret Toney
Judy Margaret Toney, 73, of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away on June 19, 2024, following an extended illness. Per Judy’s request there will be no services. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family in their time of need.
Judy was born in Belle Plaine, IA, September 15, 1950, the daughter of Cleo and Margaret Toney of Luzerne, IA. During her working years, Judy was both a cosmetologist and a CNA, often working two or three jobs raising a son and two daughters alone. Judy enjoyed puzzles and sudoku at home, bowling leagues, cross stitching, and thrifting. More than anything, she especially loved being a grandmother.
She is survived by her life partner, Jerry DeJoode of Belle Plaine, IA; daughters, Sheila Rupp of Delray Beach, FL, and Amy Rupp of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren, Colton Mosher and Derek Hoffa, both of Cedar Rapids, Stefenie Shenoy, of Arlington, VA, Hannah Torrones of West Union, IA and Steve Shenoy of Davis, CA; four great grandchildren, Liam, Oliver, Juniper and Sophia.
Judy was preceded in death by her son Steve Rupp, her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
