Surrounded by his loving family, Ronald Jones of Waterloo, IA passed away on Monday, January 22nd 2024 at Thuesen Cottages - Western Home Communities Cedar Falls.

He was born on August 25th 1936, son of Charles and Elizabeth (Steffen) Jones. He graduated from Sacred Heart School. Ronald was very devoted to his faith. He served in the Army for five years as a cryptographer, then worked at John Deeres for 39 years in Tool & Die and retired in April 1995.

Ronald was a loving husband to Marilyn (LaPole) Jones for fifty-seven years, married on October 8th,1960 in Waterloo. 
He was a dedicated father to Laurie (Larry) Saul of Waterloo, James (Sheila) Jones of Waterloo, Mark Jones of Bowling Green, KY, Michael (Nicole) Jones of Tampa, Fl, Patrick (Martha) Jones of Waterloo and Jennifer Jones (Deceased); grandfather to Nicholas (Laura) Saul, Nicole (Daniel) Saul, Jacob Jones, Alexander Jones, Joshua Jones and Katelyn Jones; great grandfather to Randy Kollmann III, Collin and Mia Saul.

Ronald was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles & Elizabeth Jones, his wife Marilyn and daughter Jennifer; brothers Francis and Russel Jones, sisters Rita McBride and Mary Jones (infancy). 

Mass will be held on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 627 W 4th Waterloo, IA 50702. Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
