Mollie Jane Schmitz, 86, of Burlington, IA passed away on January, 17th, 2024.
Mollie was born on September 27h, 1937 to Charles and Sarah (Brown) Pope in Bronson, Kansas. She attended Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sarah Pope, and William D. Schmitz Sr, her husband of 39 years.
Left to cherish Mollie’s memory, her children; William D. Schmitz Jr, Rodney L. Schmitz, Harold L. Schmitz, and Wayne P. Schmitz, ten grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Mollie was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Burlington, IA. She also enjoyed playing bingo and bowling with her friends.
Services will be held on February 3rd, 2024 at Concordia Lutheran Church 2901 Cliff Road, Burlington, IA 52601. Visitation is 10 – 11 am, Service is at 11 am and refreshments will be after.
