Tribute to a wonderful Lady We met Bev in 1993, and from the first minute on she met us with an extraordinary commitment and kindness. Ferdinand worked very closely with her, she was responsible for the administrative tasks of the SAH-IT department, which was a particular challenge in an international Solvay organization. She completed all tasks with great precision. Shortly after our first meeting, we met Ron and found them to be the ideal couple. We learned that Bev started to work for the Animal Health Business in Charles City in 1956. The Year, when Elvis Presley's songs: Heartbreak Hotel, Don't be cruel, Hound Dog, and Love me Tender were all hits. That's what she told us very soon – and we liked it. In all the years and decades Bev did an excellent job. She did so well and professionally in all business-oriented tasks and projects. Furthermore, she gave the company, her department a very beautiful friendly human face, creating for every member of the organization the feeling that their business is a kind of a family and home. One specific example is that Bev initiated our company Christmas Party, taking place already in late summer. On a hot and beautiful evening in Northern Iowa on the banks on the Shelf Rock River, at 85°F, all the dinner tables and the whole dining room decorated in wonderful Christmas ornaments. Just because Ferdinand argued that Christmas Parties in Iowa in December are wonderful but the weather conditions often critically cold and snowy. So, she showed her great humor. We also would like to mention that Bev had a wonderful private life. Bev has been married to Ron for more than 65 years. Both lived in the beautiful town of Greene on the banks of the Shelf Rock River. They spent a lot of time with their relatives and especially with their nieces and nephews. In 1997 we parted ways. Bev focused on her private life with Ron and her family. We continued our professional tasks and our life in Europe. Nevertheless, we have been back to Charles City many times since Bev retired and have always met up with her and Ron, in Charles City and in Greene. These get-togethers we will never forget. Since we went back to Europe, Bev always reported about their family life in nice letters, and we read them with great interest and pleasure. She gave us the opportunity to follow family events in the Midwest over decades. We are deeply grateful to have met Bev – and keep her in our hearts. Seems to me whenever I seen Bev and Ronnie there was always a smile on her face. She always dressed so nice, all madeup- makeup, her nails done. Sorry for your loss, but know she loved you all very much. Hugs and love especially to Ronnie, our "road grader man".......Teri and Wayne Schuknecht
