Ella Diane Nelson, 76, Passed away Saturday February 17th, 2024, in Des Moines Iowa.

Ella was born and raised in Iowa then moved to Las Vegas where she lived and worked for years off and on, until she eventually moved back to Iowa and stuck down her roots for over 30 years. She moved to Iowa with her daughter and son-in-law while helping raise her grandchildren.

Ella was a lover of animals as she always had some kind of stuffed animal of some sort around the house. She loved both her grandchildren to the moon and back and did everything she could for them, every chance she could get. She also loved her furry grandchildren and spoiled them maybe more than her human grandchildren. She loved children period, so much as she worked in a daycare environment for years. She was a loving Mother, Stepmother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was also ecstatic when she found out she was going to be a great grandmother.

She was proceeded in death by her father Durwood Nelson, her mother Bernice (Larson) Nelson, her Brother James Nelson, and her sister-in-law Patricia Nelson.

She is survived by her daughter Ronell (Lyndon) Stevens, step-son Robert (Linda) Graham, step-daughter Angel (Dean) Dennis, Brother William (Pam) Nelson, Grandson Bryce (Katie) Stevens, Granddaughter Nicole (Raymond Singelyn) Stevens, And Great Grandson Baby Stevens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League in her name.
