Donna S. Blackbourn, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Oldorf Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1 pm, with a visitation beginning at 11 am, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Layton officiating.
Donna was born on April 1, 1947 to Jesse and Frances (Stratton) Paugh in Hannibal, Missouri. She worked for Pan Am in New York City before transferring to Cedar Rapids, where she met the love of her life, Terry. She was united in marriage to Terry Blackbourn on October 14, 1972 in Palmyra, Missouri. Donna loved spending time with her family and going camping with them. Terry and Donna played cards with their friends. For many years, they had their poker group that would get together. She was an avid reader and loved watching her westerns.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 51 years, Terry; daughters, Angela (Wayne) Handeland and Sheilah (Russell) Martin all of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Glenna (Mike) Brandstatt of Palmyra, MO; her grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Holly (Ryan) Kardell, Sabrina, Ryan, and Hunter; 2 great grandchildren, Alexandra and Kyler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
