Thomas Marvin Hall

Thomas Marvin Hall received his angel wings on December 22, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He was 69 years old.

Tom was born on November 12, 1955, to J. Doug and Betty (Yount) Hall at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa. He graduated from EHS in 1974. Tom was united in marriage to Marsha (Rick) on August 18, 1979, in Windom, MN. They moved to Mankato, MN in January of 1980, where Tom finished his college degree in Sociology and Business at Mankato State University. Tom worked his entire career in Sales and Marketing. Tom and Marsha lived in Mankato raising their children, until they retired in June of 2021 in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim Hall, brothers-in-law Tracy Peterson (Kathy), Larry Smith (Renie), John Rick, Jr. (Peggy), James Rick (Shelly), and nieces Jessica Rick and Sara Rick.

Tom is survived by his wife, Marsha K. Hall, and their two children; son Jordan Hall (Sarah) and grandchildren Emilee, Conner, and Jaydan of Lake Crystal, MN; daughter Molly Hall of North Mankato, MN, and sister Kathy (Peterson) of Cherokee, Iowa.

Tom is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law; Renie Smith (Rick) of Lakeville, MN, Peggy Rick (John Rick, Jr.) of Spirit Lake, IA, Charles and Val Rick of Cambridge, MN, Dennis and Julie Rick of Worthington, MN, Mary (Rick) and Ron Roy of Conroe, TX, and Shelly (James) Rick of Granbury, TX. Tom was an uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews and is survived by his cousins.

Tom (aka Hallsey) had hobbies including playing piano, making stained glass, golfing, fishing at the lake, and spending time with family and friends. He loved watching the Minnesota Vikings and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

We would like to extend thanks to Lakes Regional Hospice for the wonderful care he received in the final weeks of his life. There will be a Celebration of Life held on April 5, 2025, at The Loose Moose Saloon in Mankato, 119 S. Front Street, Mankato, MN from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, for those who are able to join us.
