Shirley Schultz

Shirley Schultz was born on November 9, 1935, in Garwin, Iowa, daughter of Emil and Lily Bartling. She passed at the age of 89, from a car accident on December 9, 2024.

She married Donald Morrow in 1956 and had 2 daughters Deborah and Carol. Her husband passed in 1967. She later married David Schultz on July 3, 1999.

Shirley loved to embroider, put puzzles together, canning, loved having a garden and loved living in the country. Her nickname was Squirrely Shirley.

Survivors include her daughter Deborah Bennett of Norwood, CO; grandchildren Tara Dietrick of Piedmont, CA, Matthew Bennett of Tucson, AZ, Nicholas Bennett of Dallas, TX, Jeremy Karry of Phoenix, AZ, great grandchildren Will and Teddy Dietrick of Piedmont, CA, Audrey Karry of Tucson, AZ, sisters Darlene Ervin of Tama, IA, Arlene Starits of Tama, IA, brother Larry Bartling of Tama, IA.

Proceeding her death were her parents, Emil and Lily Bartling, husband David Schultz, daughter Carol Sue Karry, sisters, Lorene Yonda, Ladean Waters, Lauren Atchison, brothers, Rodger Bartling, Richard Bartling, Laverne Bartling, Merle Bartling, Ronald Bartling.

There will be a celebration of life for Shirley and a luncheon Saturday December 21st 3pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Tama, IA.
