Robin O. Roberts, Age 68, passed away at Mercy Medical Center, in Cedar Rapids, IA, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11 AM with Pastor Craig Brown officiating.

Robin Roberts was born on October 5, 1956, in Audubon, IA, to the late Oliver S. and Florence (Sorensen) Roberts. He earned an associate's degree from DMACC and a Bachelor of Science from California Coast University. Robin spent 14 years working at Rockwell Collins before pursuing his true passions in woodworking and home repair.  These interests led him to establish his own business, Roberts Renovation and Repair, where he spent over a decade crafting, designing, and providing services for family, friends, and clients. Robin also had a lifelong passion for running, completing 16 marathons, many of which he ran alongside his close friend Al Kacere.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Julie of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, Dana (Elizabeth) Roberts, of Minneapolis, MN, and Lauren Roberts, of Los Angeles, CA; his grandson, Matthew Roberts; his brother, Richard Roberts of Dallas, TX. As well as many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jo-Ellyn Goudlock, his brother-in-law, Bob Goudlock, and his sister-in-law, Kim Roberts.
