Dorthy Jane Eldridge, aged 73, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Apache Junction, AZ where she spent her winters. Born on December 30, 1950, Dorthy was a beacon of love, kindness, and generosity, known for her vibrant personality and playful spirit.
Dorthy grew up attending Akeley High School and furthered her education at Beauty School, which paved the way for her fulfilling career as a cosmetologist. Throughout her life, Dorthy cultivated a rich tapestry of interests, from gardening and painting to crocheting, jeeping, cooking, and motorcycle riding in her younger years; a testament to her creative and adventurous spirit.
A committed member of the Mountain View Lutheran Church in Apache Junction, AZ, Dorthy's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with those around her.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Richard Eldridge; her children, David (Wendy) Eldridge and Laura (Everette) Bagsby; and her cherished grandchildren, Brock Eldridge, Jenella, and Everette Bagsby. Dorthy is also survived by her siblings, Irene Disselbrett, Audrey Iverson, and Charles Oelschlager. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Luella Oelschlager, and her son, Mark Eldridge.
A Celebration of life for Dorthy Eldridge on Monday 12/30/24 2 pm at Mountain View Lutheran Church on Goldfield in AJ. Another will be held next summer for friends and family up North.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shriners or Mountain View Lutheran, causes close to her heart.
