Joyce Annette Weber
Joyce Annette (Humpal) Weber, 85, peacefully passed away, in her sleep, on the morning of Saturday, August 31, 2024. Joyce was born July 19th, 1939, to Evelyn and Arthur Humpal, in Waterloo, Iowa. She grew up in Waterloo surrounded by four brothers and three sisters. She graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1957. Joyce then later completed her education at Hawkeye Tech, becoming a CNA.
Joyce married Laverne Joseph Weber on August 6th, 1960, at Saint Mary’s in Waterloo, Iowa. Their union produced three boys, Scott Allen, Brandon Arthur, and Kevin Laverne. Her boys were her life and Joyce loved them and her many grandchildren immensely. She loved children and was very good with them. Over her life Joyce was the caregiver to many children, who still remember her fondly.
Joyce is survived by one son, Kevin (Melissa) Weber; two daughters-in-law, Robin Weber and Dawn Weber; and her ex-husband, Laverne Weber; seventeen grandchildren, Joshie, CJ, John (Danielle), Jacob (Brittany), Heaven (Micaiah), Destiny, Howie (Jenni), Hannah (Brandon), Noah, Madison, Annaliisa, Lucia, Zaria, Reagan, Zane, Justin and James; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; three sisters, Marilynn Ervin, Sylvia (Richard) Witt, Donna Ehrenberg, and two brothers, Richard (Rosalie) Humpal and Mark (Briana) Humpal.
Preceding her in death, were two of her sons, Scott Weber and Brandon Weber; two brothers, David Humpal and Jerome Humpal; two brothers-in-law, Ed Ehrenberg and Harry Ervin, and one sister-in-law, Shirley Humpal (Jerome).
A celebration of life will be held on October 5th, 2024, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, at the American Legion Hall at 1110 6th St., Gilbertville, IA.
