Robert (Bob) Eldon Bell
Robert Eldon Bell (Bob Bell), 89, of Corydon / Leon passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa.
Bob was born April 9, 1934, in Wayne County Iowa; the son of Eldon Tate Bell and Velva Marie (Smith) Bell. Bob received the Good Conduct Medal for his service in the Army and then also served in the USAR Iowa Military. Bob farmed his Century family farm, raised Hereford cattle, and loved his horses. Bob was committed to supporting the Wayne Community and served on the Wayne Community Fair board and School board for several years. Bob provided the venue for jam sessions, round and square dances at the Hwy 2 & 65 Junction Cafe for 20+ years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Leota Marie (Bethards) Crabb, Grandchildren: Christopher Casey (Connie Heitl), Donnie Argo (Sierra) and Ryan Argo, and Stepdaughter Kelley Lavely (Jerry).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Velva Bell, Wife Beverly and Daughter Sharon Argo.
The family is planning a graveside Memorial of Robert’s life on September 29th, 2023, at 10:30 am at the Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, Iowa.
