Virginia “Ginny” Ann Glaub
Virginia “Ginny” Ann Glaub, died on October 5, 2023, at The Bridges in Ankeny, IA. She was born on September 3, 1947 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Francis and Frances Kruzich Glaub.
Virginia received her Bachelors in Sociology, Masters in Counseling from Indiana University. Taught in Catholic grade schools for many years, including three years in Geneseo, IL and nine years in South Bend, IN, then counseled for 15 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny, IA. Ginny loved Jesus, and enjoyed participating in music with her joyful heart in the church choirs. She enjoyed teaching and helping others through her teaching and counseling and made many friends who in turn helped her in many ways.
Surviving are three brothers and a sister-in-law, Francis & Donna of Carbondale, IL, Christopher of East Moline, IL, Gregory of Ankeny, one niece Miriam (Nick) Shasserre, five nephews Joseph (Ryane), Michael, Christopher (Hannah), Samuel, Christian Glaub, great nieces and nephew, Natalie, Matthew, Claire Shasserre, Chloe, Lily, Ella Glaub, aunts Georgia (Fred) Wallace, Mary Brophy, many cousins, and friends who kindly helped her. A special thanks to the Staff at the Bridges of Ankeny, and Suncrest Hospice for their loving care for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart in Ankeny on Oct. 12 at 10:30 A.M. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. the same day at the church before the service.
Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL at a later date.
