Marilyn Martha Larson

Marilyn Martha Falb Larson was born April 14, 1932. She passed away October 20, 2023. Her parents were Walter and Bernice Falb of Elgin, Iowa. She graduated from Elgin High School and attended ISTC (UNI) and graduated with her BA from Upper Iowa University. She taught kindergarten in Oxford Junction and Greene, Iowa for a total of 31 years. She married Russell Larson and was later divorced. 

Marilyn raised her four daughters, Mary Beth (Dave) Gravert of Davenport, Diane (Rick) Benhart of Cedar Rapids, Kathi (Steve) Stuntz of Greene and Pam (Dennis) Majewski of Clear Lake. Gma M&M had nine grandchildren, Melissa Gravert, Stephanie Spitzer, Erikka (Aaron) Vosmek, Heidi (Kurt) McGonegle, Denielle (Ryan) Conlon, Clint (Amy) Stuntz, Scott Stuntz, Tricia (Chase) Schrage, and Jenna (Kane) Lindsay. 

She had 14 great grandchildren. Oscar Spitzer, Jackson and Lane McGonegle, Cole and Meeyah Vosmek, Joseph and James Conlon, Paige and Ty Stuntz, Trey Haak, Mason and Drake Schrage, and Louis and Mira Lindsay. 

She had a sister, Jane Whipple of Clinton and a brother Kent (Maxine) Falb of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Mary Beth and an infant son Craig Philip. 

As for her wishes there will be a private family burial in the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin, Iowa at a later date.
