Linda L. Taylor

Linda L. Taylor, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday October 7, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service. The family will hold a small celebration of life at a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her children, Travis Taylor of Hiawatha, and Kathy (Frank) Varner of Cedar Rapids, grandchildren, Camren Taylor-Eberle, Tyler Varner, Sarina Taylor-Eberle, Cayleb Taylor, Brennen Taylor, Franklin “Colton" Varner and Makenna Taylor, as well as her best friend of 66 years, Rose Adams, a brother, Larry Taylor and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gary Taylor and a granddaughter, Sierra Taylor.

Linda was born on October 6, 1951, in Postville, Iowa, the daughter of Elery and Grace (Chase) Taylor. She enjoyed drawing, Tiktok and watching TV shows like Wagon Train, leave it to Beaver and the Rifleman. She loved coffee and was an avid collector of all things Mickey Mouse! She found joy in the little things in life. Above everything else, she cherished her family and time with them. She raised 2 kids alone. It was a rough road, but she was strong and loved her kids unconditionally. We didn’t have much growing up, but we always had love! We could not have asked for a better mother than her and would pick her to be our mother again in any and every life time! You don’t have to be strong anymore, Mom. You can rest now. We love you and miss you more then words can express!
