Karin B. Blood, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 At Silver Oak Nursing & Rehabilitation, Marion.
A private family inurnment will take place in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Lori) Stevenson of Cedar Rapids and RJ (Liz) Blood of Central City. Sister, Maggie (Richard) Hrvol. Grandchildren; Thomas Allmann, Marcus Allman, and Lucy Blood. Step-Grandchildren; Brendon Boyle, Dallas Boyle, Jace Fortmann, and Riley Annis. Great-granddaughter, Jasmine Allman, and great-great granddaughter, Aaliyah.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jules Moore and Gwin (Mesner Moore) McGivern, husband, Robert Blood, and daughter, Connie Allmann.
Karin Berniece Moore was born December 11, 1944 in Aurora, Illinois. She graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. She married Robert Blood on November 22, 1980. She worked Accounts Payable for several local companies including Pratt, Great Plains Gas, RFK, and Amana/Maytag. She was a member of the Center Point First Methodist Church and very much enjoyed her time as a volunteer Grandma for the Center Point schools.
Karen had a strong faith, a love of gospel music, was an animal lover, liked to meet and talk to people, and enjoyed many of the activities they had at Evergreen Estates where she had lived the last several years. She will be missed by many.
