Floyd Russell Myers

Floyd Russell Myers, 65, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Russ was born March 12, 1958, in Fort Dodge, IA, to Don Myers and Regina (Beaver) Myers. A celebration of life will be held at Waverly Amvets 1300 4th St NW, Waverly, IA on October 29, 2023 from 1-3 pm.

Russ was united in marriage to Tami (Bigelow) Myers on October 7, 1994, in Fairbank, IA. He attended and graduated from East Highschool in Waterloo. There were many hobbies he enjoyed, such as hunting, fishing, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, and Whitetails Unlimited. He worked as a Facilities Mechanic for the University of Northern Iowa for 27 years.

Russ is survived by his wife Tami; children Shane Anderson of Manchester, IA, Beau Myers, and Dusty Cooling; sister Ladonna (Alvin) Hepler of Fairbank, IA; grandchildren Alissa (Riley) Lehman of Brandon, IA, Kobey Morrison of Cedar Falls, IA, Landon Myers, Ryleigh Myers, and Hayden Myers of Lime Springs, IA, and Ava Anderson of Manchester, IA; great-grandchildren Paisley Lehman and Layla Lehman of Brandon, IA, along with several nieces and nephews.
