Linda Maxine Kleese

Linda Maxine Kleese, age 85, of Washington Iowa, died Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends of Linda Kleese on Sunday December 3rd 2023 at the K.C Hall in Washington Iowa from 1-4.

Linda was born March 16th, 1938 in Wellman, Iowa, the daughter of Martial Edward Crossett and Esther Lucille (Stump) Crossett. She grew up in Washington County and graduated from Washington High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Edward L. Kleese on October 31st, 1958 in Washington Iowa.

Linda worked alongside her husband as farm hands for many local farmers. She then worked at Northrup King, Spurgeons, Gibson's shoes, and finally Kline’s. Following her retirement she enjoyed spending time on the family farm with her children and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her sons, Ed Kleese JR (Nancy), and Mark Kleese and his wife Debra all of Washington Iowa; nine grandchildren: Chad (Makyla) Pepper, Richelle (Marcus) Slaymaker and children Layton and Liza; Kassi Klinzman (Delvon) and their children Amari, Hannah; Bobbi Jo Steward; Brandi (Troy) their son’s Liam and Brantley; Issak (Sam) Kleese; Jeremy(Kayla) Kleese and their children Bailey, Blaine, Brynleigh, and Blakely; Travis Kleese (Emma) and their sons Elijah and Elliot. Brandon (Lexi) Kleese; two brothers: Tom Crossett, Duane (Louie) Crossett along with many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Ed Sr, Parents, son Richard Kleese; two infant sisters, one infant brother and  brothers Doug Crossett and Gary Crossett; one sister-in-law Ellen Crossett.
