Ernest R. Klouda, 86, of Marion, passed away Thursday, May 4th, 2023. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 10th from 3-5 p.m. at Village Place, 2nd floor rec room, 345 Marion Boulevard, Marion, IA.
Ernest was born September 27, 1936 in Bertram, IA to Martin and Georgia (Fisher) Klouda. In 1953, he joined the Marines, leaving in 1955. On December 16, 1967 he was united in marriage to Janet Fetter in Marion, IA. Their union was blessed with four children, Randy, Mark, Jan and Ron. Ernest loved fishing up in Wisconsin. He enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes and the Cubs. He liked Nascar and motorcycles. Ernest loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a good friend.
Those left to remember Ernest are his wife, Janet, children; Randy Klouda, Mark Klouda, Jan (Allan) Johnson, and Ron (Theresa) Klouda, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Georgia and three brothers.
