Thomas J. Kautman

Tom was a classmate and dear friend for all of my life. He would call me occasionally and it was wonderful that he would think to keep in touch. He definitely will be missed.

His character and interpretation of the world will be missed. If everyone in the world was a little like Tom this world would be a safer and happier place. I will miss him and his stories.

I worked with Tom on the Railroad, we were called to work at Savanah, to go to Marquette. He told me he was going home and going mushroom hunting and he would see me later. while hunting mushrooms, he fell a sleep. In his dream he woke up in a bed of mushrooms and thought he died and went to Heaven. Actually he was in a bed of Mushrooms. We had a Big Laugh, when he told me over dinner, the next time we worked together.
