William E. Jarrell

William (Bill) E. Jarrell, 62, of Calamus, IA passed away on July 30, 2023.   Celebration of life will be held Saturday August 5th from 1pm-3pm at Scott and Angi Knudtson’s at 2893 200th Ave.  Calamus IA, 52729 

William was born September 1, 1960, in Riverside, CA to Jerry and Judith Jarrell. On May 7, 2005 he was united in marriage to Shari Knudtson. Bill had several businesses from a painting business to a cellular repair shop. For the last 11 years he worked at Genesis Medical Center as a Pharmacy Technician. 

Bill had several passions for life. Bill enjoyed a good campfire and listening to music.  Bill enjoyed his garden, which he started every plant from seed every winter.  To fishing, not as much as he would have liked to.  Most of all he was a fabulous cook.   His specialty was oriental cuisine and would smoke/BBQ anything he could.  Those who knew Bill will remember his humor and the ability to repurpose anything.  Most of all he was a fabulous dancer. 

Those left to cherish William’s memory are his wife, Shari of Calamus, IA; Son William L. Jarrell (Christie) Jarrell, of Blairstown, IA; daughter Brinly at home; Grandchildren Aleena and Evelyn Jarrell of Blairstown, IA. Brother Dan ( Michelle) Jarrell of Ukiaha, CA;  previous wife Vicky of Amana, IA. Mother-in-Law Carol Knudtson of Wheatland; Brother-in-law Scott(Angi) Knudtson of Calamus and several nieces, nephews and friends. 

William was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Judith; Father-In-Law Everett Knudtson and brother-in-law Shane Knudtson

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
