Judith Ann DeWulf

Judith Ann (Hiatt) DeWulf, 81, was called home by the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2023. She was born May 18, 1941 to Harvey and Francis Hiatt.

Growing up in Orion, Illinois, she was active in band, playing the French horn and accordion. She was married in 1962 to David DeWulf and lived the majority of her life around DeWitt raising her four children. Over the years, Judy was always gainfully employed in various professions including secretarial work, bookkeeping, family farming, school bus driving and working at Casey’s. Later in life she married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Gould, until they parted as friends. She kept herself busy with various volunteer social work including librarian work and helping with St. Joesph’s altar and rosary group.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Mary) DeWulf, son, Thomas (Kimberly) DeWulf, daughter, Brenda (Ryan) Ohrt, and grandchildren, Brianna (Tyler) Skidmore, Kaitlin DeWulf, Elaina DeWulf, Adrianna (Dillon) Tuttle, Emma Ohrt, Alleah Hilgendorf, Nathan Ohrt and great-grandchild, Austyn Skidmore, sister, Janice Buchite and brother, John Hiatt.

She is preceded in death by brother, Jim Hiatt, father of her children, David DeWulf, son, Brian DeWulf, grandson, Brandon DeWulf.

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023 at 11 a.m., interment of ashes at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, and please join her family at St. Joseph for a luncheon.
