Mariann Nelson
Mariann (Ridder) Nelson, 80, of Brooklyn, IA passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home. Mariann was born September 1, 1942 in rural Parkersburg, to Adolf and Ubena (Siebrands) Ridder. Mariann married Dale Nelson on June 1, 1963. After retirement they resided at Holiday Lake.
Dale and Mariann are survived by their loving family, their son Scott Nelson, and daughters Mechelle Ming and Janice (Wayne) Theel. Grandchildren Ashlee (Craig) Cave, Timothy Ming, Tori Nelson, Hannah Ming, Kateland (Alex) Theel, Jaycob (Leah) Theel, Isaiah Ming and Matthew Ming. Great Grandchildren Nikolai Nelson, Kodah Schmid, Colton and Aubrey Cave, Addelinn Kapler. Dale’s sister, Barb Peterson and brother, Ronnie (Bonnie) Nelson. Mariann’s brother, John Ridder.
They are preceded in death by their parents, and Dale’s brothers and sisters, Darlene, Marilyn, Donnie, Gerald, Paul and Mary.
They will be missed by the many people who have crossed their paths during their lifetime.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on June 3, 2023 at Holiday Lake.
