Harry Thomas John "TJ" Hoffon
Harry Thomas John “TJ” Hoffon, 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, after battling cancer at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, Iowa. A memorial service with military honors will be held at a later date. Entrusted with the arrangements is Iowa Cremation.
TJ is survived by his wife of 39 years, Christina Honffon; a daughter, granddaughters, and a great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by both of his parents, Helen and Harvey.
TJ was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1939. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1962 to 1967. He resided in Cedar Rapids after coming home from the army. He worked at Cargill for 35 years until retiring. He loved painting, watching football (favorite teams: Hawkeyes/Chiefs), and putting together model cars.
