Judith A. Loftsgard

Judith A. Loftsgard peacefully passed away August 30th, 2023, at her home after a long illness.  A Visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:30pm at the Gunder Lutheran Church with a memorial service following. Join us after the service at the Elgin Legion for a luncheon. 

Judith A Loftsgard was born January 14th, 1941, to Glenn and Betty (Wood) Nims in Clermont, Iowa. She married Ronald Loftsgard on March 12, 1958, in Gunder, Iowa. Judy was a jack of all trades, master of many. She wore many hats, she was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, welder, maintenance technician and she mastered them all with love and intent. She was an avid Hawkeye fan and had season tickets for many years. She enjoyed her Sunday drives to Prairie with Roc, her cruises in her convertible mustang and loved attending events that involved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ronald E. Loftsgard; her son, Drew A. (Kristin) Loftsgard; sisters, Shelvy (Willie) Schott, Phyllis (Jerry) Howard; grandchildren,
Michael (Meca) Loftsgard, Kaylee Lau, Shaun Lau, Timothy (Krissy)Brainard, Ashley (James) Briggs, Abbey White, Cassidi Curry, Morgan Robinson, and Nick (Taylor) Robinson; and many many great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Debra A. Loftsgard, her son David E. Loftsgard, and her parents Glenn and Betty Nims.
