Joan L. Walleser, 97, of Lansing, IA, passed away peacefully in her home on August 11, 2023, surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Walleser; a granddaughter, Emily Walleser; sisters Helen, Cecelia, and Rita; and brother Joseph. Joan is survived by a brother, William Brouillet, and seven children; Terry Walleser, Ravalli, MT; Tim Walleser (Gwen), Janesville, WI; Linda Hartwich (Roger) River Falls, WI; Leo Walleser (Ruth), Menomonie, WI; Anne Rundall (James) Amboy, IL; Donald Walleser, Lansing, IA; and Josie Ehlert, Janesville, WI. 

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Audrey Martin, Winston, MT; Michelle Felauer, Rockford, IL; Kevin Walleser (Jenny), Cleveland, WI; Adam Walleser, Janesville, WI; Roger Hartwich III, River Falls, WI; Joshua Hartwich (Michelle), Tilton, NH; April Needles (Mitchell), Greer, SC; Amanda Wang (Jordan), Landrum, SC; Melora Thomas (Carl Littrell), Marshall, NC; Jared Thomas (Stephanie), Oahu, HI; Jesse Walleser (Kasinda McKee), Lansing, IA; Jacob Walleser (Jenna Whittle), New Albin, IA; and Jacqueline Walleser, Lansing, IA. Joan was also blessed with 17 great grandchildren.

Joan was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Lansing, IA. She took immense pride in crocheting and creating handmade quilts, donating to the church, and gifting to family and friends.

 A celebration of life will be held on October 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and October 14th from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception church. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on October 14th.
