Bruce Aldrich Fugate
Bruce Aldrich Fugate passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 55. He left this world at the VA Central Healthcare System in Des Moines, Iowa.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 24th, 1968, Bruce was the son of Jerry and Margaret Aldrich. He attended school and graduated in Bellevue. Bruce went on to serve his nation as an airplane mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. Bruce's service included time in the U.S., support for Operation Desert Storm, and an additional year of service in Spain.
Bruce was a man of few words, known for his quiet strength. His interests varied, and included drawing, writing, watching movies, and playing the guitar. He cherished spending time when he could with his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who will all miss him.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Aldrich and Margaret Aldrich, as well as sister, Deborah Ostroski. He is survived by his two brothers, Roger Aldrich and Randall Aldrich.
A graveside service to honor Bruce's memory will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a veterans' charity of your choice in honor of Bruce.
