Obituary for BJ Towe

"I met BJ on a plane coming back from our graduation trip for my son's college graduation in May, 2022. My son had the window seat and I was on the aisle. I sensed that the man across the aisle from me was her Husband and asked if she would like to switch seats. She said no that's okay as they had just had a wonderful trip and told me how long they had been married. \r\nDuring the course of the conversation, she spoke of her condition, her children, her treatment and this trip was something they wanted to do while she could still travel and wasn't active in treatment. I shared that I was a leader at a health plan and had developed a Case Management Program for Advanced Oncology a number of years ago that was still in use. I told her she was a living miracle and she credited her Faith in God and love of friends, family and her Husband. She truly was a miracle and her faith was inspiring. \r\nShe gave me her newsletter link and I kept up with it the best I could, as I have been building a company after being riffed from my position of 20 years. While I was saddened by the notice she had passed, I read the recent posts. I only knew her from 1 conversation on an airplane, but it made a lifetime impression. \r\nMy heart goes out to her family and friends, and everyone her life touched. \r\nPeace! "
