Richard "Rick" J. Fraise
Richard “Rick” J. Fraise, 70, of West Point, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Per his wishes, there will be a private gathering at a later date.
Richard was born on August 30, 1952 in Iowa City. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Noble on June 23, 2012. Rick had owned a waste disposal and hauling business and enjoyed driving a big truck. Rick loved being outdoors and his favorite pastime was tinkering with his cars and motorcycle. He loved making his own homemade wines. Rick also enjoyed going to car and antique shows, parks and watching eagles. He loved taking photos of birds and the surrounding landscape. Rick loved listening to his favorite band, Lynyrd Skynyrd (his favorite songs were “Free Bird” and “Simple Man”), watching Gold Rush and Mountain Men, reading the newspapers and historical books.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Ann Noble Fraise; stepdaughter, Melann Velez; and his aunt, Monica Mathena.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Fraise and Margaret C. Lohman
