Lisa Lynn Hintzman

Lisa Lynn Hintzman, 52, of Waterloo, entered into God’s kingdom on April 2, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born April 10, 1970 in Waterloo to Ronald and Lyla (Donovan) Fouts. 

She was united in marriage to Douglas Earl Hintzman in Waterloo on June 9, 1990. They later divorced. They were blessed with two children, Jessica and Christopher. 

Lisa was a teacher at Hoover Middle School for many years and loved her job. After being diagnosed with cancer, she retired early. 

She is survived by her amazing children, Jessica (Mitchell) Lamos and Christopher (Krista) Hintzman; momma2, Tammy Fouts; brothers Marty (Maria) Fouts and Daniel (Amber Fouts); sisters Renee (Jeff) Erickson and Tina Winther; step-sisters Hannah (Brad) Clevenger, Elisabeth Remetch, and Rachel (Matt) Woods; grand-daughter Hazel; significant other Joel Beener; special dog companion Emma; and her soul-sisters Tracy Lynn and Lisa Kruse; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 14th at 11am at Hope City Church in Waterloo with a light lunch to follow. Memorial donations may be directed to the family or Hope City Church. 

Lisa was very loved by many and will be very missed. Her beloved family and friends will continue to carry out her memory. See you here, see you there and someday in the air.
