Gilbert "Butch" Davies
Gilbert “Butch" Davies (#MrAmerica) passed away September 30, 2022, at his home surrounded by his dogs, his wife, Dee, and his loved ones.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, April, Jodi (son-in-law William), and Keri; his grandsons, Ontario (fiancée Allie), Brandon (fiancée Rochelle), Zach (fiancée Lauren), and Tyler; his great-grandsons, Zander, Zaiden, Michael, and Ziler; a brother-in law and sister-in-law, Steve and Julie Pata; nieces, Kendall and Kylah, and everyone whose lives he touched.
Butch was born August 5, 1948, to Gilbert and Mary (McDermott) Davies in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After he graduated from high school, he served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1975. He worked for Quaker Oats and retired after 47 years. Butch enjoyed riding his Harley rain or shine (or snow), loved a good laugh and good food, liked to go to hockey games with friends and to the gun range with the boys.
In lieu of flowers and cards, the family asks that you make a donation in his name to the charity of your choice or to any no-kill animal shelter.
