Pamela Sue Halvorson
Pamela Sue Halvorson, 55, of Marion, Iowa passed away on Friday, October 28th, 2022, at home with her family. Pam was born October 11th, 1967, to Diane and Harvey Hixson in Cedar Rapids.
Pam graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1986 and stayed in the area to build her own family. She worked as a project manager of several telecommunications companies, as well as working at Hallmark on nights and weekends. She loved sending cards, making everyone feel special, and crafting on the side. She made wreathes, countless scrapbooks and other decorative projects.
Pam is survived by her daughters, Kaela Halvorson (Jordan Owen) of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Meg (Adam) Gillins of Minnesota; five grandchildren, Lily, Declan, Rose, Maisy, and Magnolia Gillins; four siblings, Eric (Beth) Hixson of Oklahoma; Chris (Leslie) Hixson of Missouri; Val Reeves of Marion; Scott (Kim) Hixson of Florida; and her mother, Diane Hixson of Marion. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Hixson, in 2021
A celebration of life be held from 4:00 to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (4150 Blue Jay Dr, Cedar Rapids 52402). Donations may be directed the family or UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospice in Pam’s honors.
