Michael D. McLaren
Michael D. McLaren, 57, of Dysart passed away on Friday, October 15th, 2022. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart at 11 am.
Mike was born in February 1965, in Vinton, Iowa, to Robert and Evelyn (Boyenga) McLaren. He was born and raised in Dysart, Iowa, and graduated from Dysart-Geneseo in 1983. He married Tami (Tinius) McLaren in 1996. Mike dedicated 25 years of service to John Deere.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter Allison (Justin) McLaren; his two stepchildren, Matthew (Malorie) Jacobson and Stephanie Friestad; granddaughter, Katherine Jacobson; parents, Bob and Evelyn McLaren; five siblings, Tim (Mary) McLaren; Steve (Teri) McLaren; Diane (Mark) Huisenga; Jeff McLaren; Tom (Karen) McLaren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mike loved spending his free time bicycling, golfing, memorizing maps, and traveling. He will be remembered for his good-natured humor and the pride he had for his home, his community, and his family.
