Lynn "Bud" Perry Christenson
Lynn “Bud” Perry Christenson, 81, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 12th in hospice care at Allan Hospital in Waterloo surrounded by family. The Christenson Family will hold a private memorial service to celebrate Buds life at a later time.
Bud was a life-long proud resident of Cedar Falls, Iowa. He worked for the University of Northern Iowa and proudly retired after 25 years of service. He had a true passion for ‘treasure hunting’ and dedicated his time to this hobby, often sharing his adventure finds with his children and grandchildren.
Bud spent his later years at the Mallard Point Community in Cedar Falls surrounded by loving friends and staff and under the special care of his nephew, Matt.
Bud has now peacefully joined his beloved late wife Betty Lou, his parents Elmer & Mildred, and brother Raymond.
Buds’ legacy will be honored by his sister Barbara, sister-in-law Carolyn, daughter and son-in-law Lori & David, son and daughter-in-law Marcus & Terra, grandchildren Nathan, Alli, Kyle, Zachary, Madison, Caleb & Calhen and his great grandchildren Jeremiah, Luke & Maddie. He will also be remembered by his extended family, including nieces and nephews.
While Buds passing is heavy on our hearts, we will remember him with love and grace. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly, never missing an opportunity to celebrate a birthday or holiday.
“Someday I'll wish upon a star…
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me…
Where trouble melts like lemon drops…
High above the chimney tops that’s where you'll find me…
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly…
And the dream that you dare to, why, oh why can't I?”
