Laurel J West, 23 of Hiawatha, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 pm on December 11, 2022, at the Red Cedar Lodge in Wanatee Park (formerly Squaw Creek) in Marion.
Laurel J West was born December 11, 1998, in Cedar Rapids, IA to Clint West and Angela Herman. Second only to her family, Laurel loved animals including the many four-legged family she shared her home with. She worked for Rover pet sitting as well as InstaCart. She enjoyed going to the races and taking her dogs to the dog park. But mostly she loved being a mother. She was a caring sister, mother, daughter, granddaughter, and girlfriend.
Survivors include her two children, Oakley and Vada Mae Mosher; their father, Austin Mosher; her father, Clint West (Alison); sister, Evelyn West; her mother, Angela Hatch (Andy), sisters, Kimberly Forbes and Tori Hatch; her grandparents, Jane West, Charles and Michele Herman, Carlene Moe, Russ and Virginia Hatch; uncles, Aaron Moe and Eric Herman; as well as other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim West and sister, Rhiannon Herman.
