Grace Arlene Stumberg
Grace Arlene Stumberg, a fighter until the end, passed away on October 23, 2022, at the age of 87.
Arlene was born on February 18th, 1935, the daughter of Frank and Alivia (Durben) Kopsa. She grew up in Grundy Center, a town she loved and never left. Arlene was united in marriage to Irvin Stumberg on December 31, 1952, at the Sacred Heart church in Grundy Center.
Arlene was a fiercely dedicated mom to all her children, raising 7 of them to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Arlene, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Irvin Stumberg; she was a mother of 7 children: Norm (Deb), Lisa (Randy), Bryan (Elli), Todd (Ronda), Curt (Jen), Doug (Vicki) and Jody (Herk); grandmother to 22; great grandmother to 23; other family members, unfortunately, too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and Godchildren to list or even count.
Preceded in death by her Parents, three sisters, two brothers and a son-in-law.
Above all, Arlene will be remembered as a god-fearing woman. She inspired and touched many lives in her lifetime.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27th at 10:30 a.m. at St Gabriel Church, 21275 U Avenue, Reinbeck, IA 50669. The visitation will be an hour before the service.
