Linda Lee Nall

Linda Lee Nall (Watson), 78, Indianola, IA, went home to our Lord Saturday, November 5, 2022 while surrounded by family at Iowa Methodist Medical Center due to complications from lung cancer. A celebration/remembrance will be held Thursday Nov 10, 7-9 at Hilltop Lounge, 2820 Hubble Ave.

Linda was born June 20, 1944 in Bad Berneck, Germany where she & her older brother John (Douglas) were placed in an orphanage. Her birth name was Liselotte Rosemarie Meyer. She was adopted on July 12, 1954 by M-Sgt William I Watson & Doris Watson (Davis) and brought to the US where she became an American Citizen. She was a military child and grew up across the US. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Salt Lake City, UT.

She married George E Jackson Jr on December 25, 1963 (divorced 1981) with whom she had three children: Lisa M Hammond (Jackson), George E Jackson III, & William I Jackson. They resided in Sandy, UT & Des Moines, IA. She remarried to Timothy Nall June 29, 1984 (divorced 2010). They resided in Des Moines & Grand River, IA.

She had a love of family, animals and the great outdoors. She never met a challenge that she wouldn’t face & fight. Her menagerie of pets included dogs, cats, skunks, ferrets, a chinchilla, horses and more. She never met an animal in need that she wouldn’t take in. She loved her grandchildren more than life itself.

She is survived by her children: Lisa M Hammond (Jackson), David, Niceville  FL; George E Jackson III, William Schulte, Des Moines IA; William I Jackson, Brenda, Waukee IA. Grandchildren: Dylan J Hammond, Colton D Hammond, Sydney A Jackson and Tanner W Jackson. Sister in Law Cheryl Douglas (John), and many nieces & nephews that loved her.

Predeceased family: William I Watson, Doris R Watson (Davis), and her beloved brother John Douglas.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting memorial donations be made in Linda’s honor to Animal Rescue League (www.arl-iowa.org) or The Pet Project Midwest (www.thepetprojectmidwest.org).
